The Crosby Group provided structural design services
as part of a $13M renovation of the Championship Course
and The Chateau at Incline Village. Completed in the
summer of 2004 The Chateau, a 22,850 square foot multi-event
facility, is open year round and serves as the golf course clubhouse,
restaurant and provides facilities for special events.
Design challenges encountered during the project include features
often associated with classic Tahoe charm: vaulted ceilings,
expansive wrap-around decks, stacked stone fireplaces, open architecture
and the need to allow for heavy snow loading in this pristine mountain setting.
TCG provided a cost-effective solution of structural steel in
combination with custom designed wood trusses to meet these demands.
