Federal Federal : U.S. DOS Natural Hazards Mitigation Program IDIQ - Multiple Locations   1  Crosby Group holds a Prime contract with the US State Department, Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) to provide structural engineering design services in support of their Natural Hazard Mitigation program. OBO has selected an elite group of consultants who are known for their expertise and proven capabilities to assist them in their efforts to address natural hazard risk at their properties worldwide. Natural hazard types that pose a threat to their overseas complexes include seismic events, tsunamis, floods and hurricanes. The US DOS-OBO oversees more than 15,000 properties including embassies, housing for diplomatic personnel and their families, offices for US agencies located abroad, and other supporting building structures. Crosby Group’s extensive experience overseas proved a valuable asset to the State Department as they require firms who understand the complexities involved with working and traveling to international and sometimes remote locations. Crosby Group’s past projects with the OBO include assessment of existing State Department facilities and improvements at occupied buildings for seismic retrofit and hurricane preparedness. We bring expertise in both seismic and wind design, familiarity with new and emerging hazard mitigation technologies, successful retrofit experience of occupied facilities, and a secret security clearance.
