Crosby Group provided structural engineering design services for the renovation
of 700sf of existing radiosurgery space to accommodate a new CyberKnife Robotic radiosurgery system. Renovations included
the demolition and replacement of the existing slab and equipment pit foundation, and framing to accommodate the new radiosurgery equipment in
the Cyberknife Vault.
Design also included the bracing of up to 6" of wall lead shielding, the support of up to 9" of ceiling lead
shielding, and the support of a lead-lined sliding steel door. Additional renovated spaces included the adjacent Equipment Room,
Control Area, and Patient Holding room. All work was OSHPD reviewed and approved.
