Nativity Church Seismic Retrofit |
|
|
|
Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981, the Church of the Nativity is a
redwood structure originally built in 1872 with the present altar and bell tower added in 1888.
Crosby Group provided
structural engineering design services for the restoration of the historic 125-year old Nativity Church.
The restoration of this wood-framed structure included a seismic upgrade that included the addition of lateral
wall and foundation elements and connections to the main church and steeple, as well as a remodel and addition to the church’s
sacristy.
