Crosby Group designed this 44,270sf Juvenile Detention Facility for Madera County situated adjacent to the existing Adult Detention Facility. This 70-bed facility replaces the County’s older outdated juvenile facility and provides for two 30-bed living pods along with a 10-bed administrative segregation unit, and was designed to be expandable to 130-beds. This facility also provides spaces for support services for the housing units including multipurpose rooms, medical unit, intake and booking, storage, control rooms, outdoor recreation and laundry.
