Juvenile Facilities : South Lake Tahoe Juvenile Treatment Center   1  2 Crosby Group provided complete structural engineering design for the new 26,200 square foot South Lake Tahoe Juvenile Treatment Center for El Dorado County. This new 40-bed facility is located at the El Dorado County Government Center and is comprised of two 20-bed tiered living units, an administration area, enclosed vehicular sallyport, intake processing, classrooms, central control room, food service, medical services, and secure outdoor exercise areas. Due to the sensitivity of the site environment, the facility was designed to address regional and environmental concerns which included reviews by NEPA, CEQA, and TRPA, ensuring that their strict criterion was adhered to. Despite the additional environmental considerations, the project was successfully completed during the TRPA allowed construction period (from May 1 to October 15), and the project was delivered to the Owner two months ahead of schedule.
